Hello! We are happy to announce that the video recordings of four of the five presentations at “Tolkien and the Arts” have been uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Under the tab “Past Sessions” you will find Father Charles Klamut’s excellent presentation on what we can learn about leadership from Gandalf, Bryan Mead’s interesting and informative presentation on the Tolkien films, Rick Williams’ thought-provoking study of Tolkien as a teacher, and Jef Murray’s excellent examination of Tolkien’s idea of subcreation at work in his own artwork.
The only presentation that is not available is Dr. Melody Green’s presentation on Tolkien as a fictional character. This presentation, however, will be available (along with the other presentations from the last two conferences) and a few guest writers in a book titled Tolkien and the Arts, to be published by Square Halo Press.
So feel free to watch the videos. Share them with your friends. Share them with your neighbors. Share them with your neighbors’ friends. And don’t forget to come back and check this page out frequently, because you never know what new things you will find here!
